Item Details

This listing is for a vintage copy of S2 The Ghost Tower of Inverness. This excellent adventure was published by TSR in the early days of this whole tabletop gaming revolution. This adventure was authored by Lawrence Schick as a "try-out" to get a job at TSR. Rumour has it that Mr. Schick took rooms from his various dungeons and jammed them together to show off his talent. He was surprised TSR printed the module without any changes and is a bit embarrassed about the sword Blackrazor which was a blatant rip-off of Michael Moorcocks's sword Stormbringer, wielded by the anti-hero Elric, the eternal champion.

I loved playing and running this adventure. It is a classic "fun-house" dungeon. Every room presents the players with a new, different, and bizarre challenge. Lots of thinking is needed by your players to survive this adventure.

Description

From the cover of the adventure:

This module contains background information, referee's notes, player aids, a complete map level, a cutaway view of the mountain complex, and more than 15 pieces of art for both DM and player. WHITE PLUME MOUNTAIN is from the special ("S") series; like others in the series, it is meant to stand on its own and is a complete ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS adventure. The recommended number of players is four to ten, with levels ranging from fifth to tenth.

Condition

This adventure is in Good condition showing heavy wear. Definitely a playing copy! The cover shows heavy creasing, scuffing, corner rounding, and edgewear. The cover is split about 4" along the bottom. There are a few notes in neat pencil. The adventure book's cover and back pages are loose but included. The pages are grey with age and use, the corners are rounded and there are a number of discolored spots throughout. There are a few pages with stray pencil marks. This adventure is complete and ready to challenge another group or two of adventurers.
