This vintage 32-page module was authored by Allen Hammack and was published by TSR in 1980. Set on Oerth, the World of Greyhawk, this excellent adventure will challenge characters of levels 5 to 7.

This was part of the "C" Competition Module Series that featured adventures used during official Advanced Dungeons and Dragons tournaments. My groups never really ran any of these as competitions but we definitely used the adventures!

Alas, I must report my character did not survive this module. I almost survived, made it to the last encounter when....oh, wait, no spoilers!

Description

From the cover of the adventure:

A shadow from the past, the Ghost Tower of Inverness has loomed ever larger in the mind of the great Seer of Urnst. Now he has convinced the Duke that an expedition should be organized to go to the ancient keep and recover its greatest treasure - the fabled Soul Gem. This module was originally written for the Official ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Game Tournament at Wintercon VIII, held in Detroit in November of 1979. It is the second in TSR's COMPETITION SERIES - modules that were used in official tournaments. This module contains a challenging setting, a scoring system and characters specially prepared for this adventure. It may thus be used for competition among players (or groups of players) or as a non-scored adventure. Also included within are background information, referee's maps and notes, encounter descriptions for players, and a background scenario linked to the WORLD OF GREYHAWK Fantasy World Setting.

Condition 

This adventure is in Good condition. The outer cover shows heavy creasing along the fold, there is moderate corner rounding and light edgewear. There are rust stains in the fold from the very rusty staples holding the adventure book together.

The adventure book is in good shape. The corners and edges show moderate wear, there are a few discolored spots and the pages are grey with age. All the handouts have been carefully removed but are included. There are pencil notes on the characters detailing new items. The staples are extremely rusty and have stained the areas around them. Not bad. Overall, this module is in good shape and is ready to challenge your players.
