This listing is for an original copy of Dungeon Module B2 Keep on the Borderlands. According to some sources this module had been adventured in by more people than any other module. It came with the Dungeons and Dragons Basic Set and was also sold separately.

This is truly one of the classic adventures. Everyone has heard of the Caves of Chaos. Have you? If not, it's long past the time you did. This great starting adventure is Illustrated with cover art by Jim Roslof and interior illustrations by Erol Otus. This module has advice for the beginning Dungeon Master, maps charts, and lots of non-player characters. A great place to start playing Basic D&D.

This module includes a cover folder with maps and a complete description booklet to form a ready-made scenario for Basic Dungeons & Dragons. It has been specially designed for use by beginning Dungeon Masters so that they may begin play with a minimum of preparations. Within are many features to aid novice players and Dungeon Masters: legends, history and background information, a list of adventuring characters, tips on how to be an effective Dungeon Master, plus an interesting area for characters to base themselves in (the Keep) before setting out to explore the Caves of Chaos!

Condition

This copy is from the 4th print run. It is sturdy and in Good incomplete condition showing some wear. The cover shows heavy creasing, scuffing, edge wear, surface scratches, and heavy corner rounding. The map has a very light discoloration and someone has added the compass directions in pencil. Nothing is obscured. The adventure book shows heavy corner rounding (a few are bent), light staple rust, a few stray pencil marks, some light writing and some spots especially on the back and front. One of the center pages with the maps has been removed and replaced with a copy. Overall, the adventure is complete (with the copies). A great playing copy!
