GW1 Legion of Gold Vintage TSR Gamma World 1st Edition Module, Good/Very Good Condition

Item Details

This excellent adventure was the first adventure module released to support the first edition of the Gamma World box set. It was authored by Gary Gygax, Luke Gygax, and Paul Reiche III. TSR released the adventure in 1981, three years after the box set. 

The module includes several mini-adventures that can be used before the characters take on the main quest. There is also information on the Barony of Horn where these adventures are set and it works great as a starting location for your Gamma World campaign. It reminded me of B2 Keep on the Borderlands, also written by Gary Gygax as an introductory adventure to Dungeons and Dragons. 

We have just started a new Gamma World campaign and I am using this module as the starting point for the group. 

Description

There is much to worry about in the mutated world of the future, but Baron Jemmas, Warder of Horn, has more on his mind than most. In recent weeks several of the outlying towns of his Barony have been wiped out by a band of mysterious golden marauders.

These creatures struck from nowhere and vanished without a trace when their deeds were done. The Warder has decided that they must be stopped before the entire Barony of Horn falls beneath their onslaught, and so he is offering a great reward to anyone who can defeat the Legion of Gold.

Designed for use by 2-8 players of low to mid-levels.

Condition

This copy is in Good to Very Good condition. The cover is in good condition showing heavy corner rounding, creasing along the fold, and moderate edgewear. There is a pinhole through the front of the cover and there are a few notes on the map in light pencil. The adventure book is in Very Good condition showing an indent on the cover, and a light discoloration on the map. Overall it shows very light use.
