Item Details
This vintage 28-page adventure module was authored by Allen Hammack and was published by TSR in 1981. Module A3 continues the Slave Lords saga that started in modules A1 and A2. These adventures detail the reign of terror caused by the Slave Lords' yellow-sailed ships across the coasts of the Flanaess.
This series of adventures began in A1 Slave Pits of the Undercity, continued in Modules A2 Secret of the Slavers Stockade, A3 Assault of the Aerie of the Slave Lords, and concludes in module A4 In the Dungeons of the Slave Lords. These great adventures were later collected in a super-module, A1-4 Scourge of the Slave Lords.
Set on Oerth, the World of Greyhawk, this excellent adventure will challenge characters of levels 4 to 7. Ah, so much Greyhawk fun.
Description
From the cover of the adventure:
Into the Drachengrab Mountains! Hot on the trail of the marauding slavers, you and your fellow adventurers plunge deep into hostile Hills. Spurred on by your past success, you now seek the heart of the slaver conspiracy. But hurry! You must move quickly before the slavers recover from your previous forays and attack! This module was originally used for the official ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Tournament at GenCon XIII convention and is the third in a series of four related tournament modules from TSR. This module contains a challenging scenario, a tournament scoring system plus nine pre-rolled playtested tournament characters. Also included are large-scale referee's maps, notes, and background information. A3 is a complete adventure in itself, but it is also a companion to A1 (Slave Pits of the Undercity), A2 (Secret of the Slavers Stockade), and A4 (In the Dungeons of the Slave Lords). Be sure to look for other exciting adventure modules from the Game Wizards at TSR.
Condition
This adventure is in Fair to Good condition showing lots of use and abuse. The cover is in Fair condition. The fold has separated about 1/2" at the bottom, the edges and corners are very worn. There is moderate scuffing, small surface tears, and a very small discolored spot that goes through the cover. The adventure book is incomplete as it is missing the player's map of Suderham. I have replaced this with a copy so it would be complete. The previously mentioned discolored spot carries through the first few pages, the page edges and corners show heavy wear. There are a number of discolored spots, lots of messy pencil writing and a few small tears near the rusty staples. Overall this has seen a lot of use but with the copy it is complete and ready to challenge another group of heroes in their battle against the despicable Slave Lords.
If you are a Greyhawk aficionado like myself, here is a link to a great online map of the Flanaess by Anna B. Meyer. I can get lost in this map for hours!
